According to a report in Digitimes, Acer will launch tablet computers based on Google’s Android software this year.  If this is true, it won’t be long before the iPad is facing some tough competition from Android based machines and heavy pressure on its margins.  What next? According to this post from India’s Financial Chronicle, Acer is currently Number One in sales of desktop computers and is targeting Number Two (for now) in notebooks in that country.
