Communities of Leadership: Ratan Tata’s Tata Group

Building our list of interesting communities of leadership, I’m adding India’s Tata Group, Ratan Tata, Chairman. A genuinely international conglomerate based in India, Tata Group interests me because
- It includes Tata Consultancy Services, market value $32 billion, now huge in both consulting and outsourcing. TCS’s activity place Tata group at the center of India’s economic growth founded based outsourcing services and IT.
- Tata is involved in a wide range of industries, from IT to consultancy to steel to cars.
- It produces the Nano car, priced at $2200. leading the push toward ultra-low priced vehicles
- At 13th on Business Week’s list of most innovative companies, Tata is the highest ranked among Indian companies
- Founded in 1868, the group is over 140 years old: in addition to being at the forefront of India’s recent economic miracle, it has a long history dating back to the days of the British Raj.
- According the company website, two-thirds of the shares of Tata Sons, the central holding organizations are held by philanthropic trusts.

This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing websites that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free. It is the old what goes around comes around routine. Did you acquired lots of links and I see lots of trackbacks??
