I interviewed many people for my new book ‘Live Life.Love Work,’ (Capstone)and came to the conclusion that loving work is about paying attention to energy. You can have work you love and then stop loving it when you energy gets sapped – physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually. However when you’re in the flow state, firing on all cylinders then you’re unstoppable. So to create that loving work environment, I believe we need to nurture ourselves in these dimensions of energy – it begins with extreme self care.

I agree with your conclusions. Recognising your own state and nuturing it is fundamental to leading a peaceful and loving life- whatever the environment.
Such an approach works for the individual. I can always choose to go somewhere else if I don’t like what I find.
Loving work is about more than me finding work I love. It’s about creating loving environments.
You can not adapt sanely to an insane world and toxic environments can be poisoning. That’s why advance meditators spend so much of their time away from people in beautiful surroundings.
Sometimes creating change means marshalling your anger and frustration and channelling it, meaningfully.
